For reporting purposes, you should, at a minimum, close the miscellaneous batch at the end of each day as well as before running any reports. By doing so, you won't have to wonder whether the renewal rate report you ran last week was run before or after you entered a batch of cancellations. You will be able to tell by checking the batch number at the top of the report.
If you don't close the miscellaneous batch at the end of the day, QuickFill will automatically ask you whether you want to close it when you start up the next day.
When you select 'Close miscellaneous batch' under 'Accounting' on the main menu, you'll see a screen with the message "Do you wish to close the miscellaneous batch and create the batch report?" If you select 'Yes', QuickFill closes your miscellaneous batch. If you select 'No' you'll return to the main menu.
If a miscellaneous batch is not open, the message "There is no miscellaneous batch currently opened" will appear.
