A requalification source code for a controlled subscription is roughly equivalent to a renewal effort code for a noncontrolled subscription. The code identifies the means by which you requalified the subscriber, such as wrappers on the final issues of the subscription, reader service cards, or telemarketing efforts.
Defining requalification source codes
When you select 'Requal sources' (from the 'Renewal' submenu under 'Definitions' on the main menu), you will see a list of defined requalification sources on the upper half of the screen and the "New," "Change," "Replicate," and "Delete" options running along the bottom.
You can define another requalification source code by clicking on "New," filling in the fields described below, and then clicking on "OK." If the source you want to define next is similar to one you've already defined, you can replicate the existing requalification source by moving the cursor to the source you want to replicate and clicking on "Replicate."
Source code
Enter a code to identify the source of the requalification, for example WRAP for an issue wrapper.
Description
Enter a brief description of the source code, such as "Issue wrappers." The description will appear with the requalification source code when you right click in the requalification source code field on other screens.
Date mailed
If the requalification source code represents a specific mailing, rather than a generic type of requalification attempt such as wrappers, then enter the date of the mailing. Otherwise, leave this field and the next field blank.
Quantity mailed
Enter the number of pieces you mailed. Including the 'Quantity mailed' in the requalification source code definition will allow you to obtain more detailed information on the 'Requalification analysis' report. When you run the detailed version of this report, QuickFill will display the date of the first response as well as the number of responses as a percentage of the number mailed.
You can also change the definition of a requalification source code by moving the cursor to the code you want to change and double clicking on it, or clicking once on "Change." You can delete a requalification source by moving the cursor on the requalification source you want to delete and clicking on "Delete."
