You use the 'Zip codes' screen to define the range of zip codes that are valid for each state. When you enter a customer address, QuickFill uses this table to make sure the customer zip code is in the right state.
When you select 'Zip codes' you'll see a screen that contains zip codes for the United States of America. The U.S. Postal Service occasionally assigns some of the zip codes that are currently not used. If this happens, change the table so that it shows the new range(s) and then click on "OK." (Click here to see the zip code table.)
There are also some exceptions to this table where a town is physically located in one state, but has been assigned a zip code in an adjoining state, or where a special state code has been assigned for APO addresses. At the time of this writing the following exceptions were built into QuickFill.

Canadian postal codes have a different format from U.S. codes and don't appear in this table. QuickFill, however, does check them against the province code you enter when you enter a customer address. (Click here for information on Canadian province and postal codes.)
