Export database (QFIE systems only)

Click here for a sample QFIE Export Summary report

Use this menu item to export a QuickFill database for use with QuickFill Internet Extensions.

The filter screen for the Internet export has three tabs.  You can move easily between tabs by clicking on the tab to which you would like to move.

General tab:

Output options

If you would like the file created by the export to be uploaded to the QFIE server when you run the export, choose 'Upload database to QuickFill Internet Extensions server'.

If you do not want to upload the file to the Internet as soon as the export is run, you can choose either 'Keep SQL Server database' or 'Keep zipped SQL Server database'.  If you would like to use the SQL database for something other than QFIE (such as a SQL server project), choose 'Keep SQL Server database'.  If you would like to upload the database to the QFIE server later via the 'Transfer file maintenance' menu item, choose 'Keep zipped SQL Server database'.

Password

Enter your QFIE export password in this field.

Output directory

This field defaults to the output directory specified on the 'General' tab of the 'Settings' screen.  If you do not want the export file to be created in the directory specified, type the drive and directory that you would like the file to be created in or use the “Browse” button to select it.

Publication_Prospect List tab:

Use this tab to specify criteria for the subscription and prospect records you would like to export.

Include subscriptions to  ( ) any ( ) all of these publications/statuses

Use these fields to specify the publications/statuses for the subscriptions you would like to export.

Also include prospects from any of these lists

Use these fields to specify lists for the prospects you would like to export.

Exclude subscriptions to these publications/statuses

Use these fields to specify the publications/statuses you would like to exclude from the export.

Exclude prospects from any of these lists

Use these fields to specify the lists for the prospects you would like to exclude from the export.

Exclude inactive subscriptions with a status change date prior to…

If you would like to exclude all inactive subscribers from your export (and, thus, from your QuickFill Internet Extensions SQL Server database), enter zero in this field.  Otherwise, enter a number of days prior to the current date to specify the inactive subscriptions you would like to exclude.  Once you move to the next field, the status change date that QuickFill will use to determine which inactive subscriptions to export will be displayed to the right of the field.

The status change date is the date that the subscription became inactive (that is, suspended, canceled, or expired).

Prospect date range

Use this field to specify a prospect date range for the prospects you would like to export.

Customer tab:

Use this tab to include or exclude customers who have been marked as bad debt customers or seeds.

Qualification tab:

Qualification date cutoff

Only those controlled subscriptions whose qualification date is older than the specified date will be exported. Exported controlled subscriptions can be requalified via the internet.

Once you've finished filling in the filter, click on "OK," and specify when you want to run the export.  You have the same options for exporting the database as you do when running the 'Customer data' or purge updates.  You can run the export immediately in exclusive mode (this requires all other users to be in lookup mode) or as part of a job list.  (Click here for more information on options for running the Internet export.)
