The 'Accounting detail' report gives you the same information as the period or year-end close reports but can be run at any time. The summary version shows you the accounting effect of each batch that has been entered since the start of the period. The detailed version provides the same information on a transaction-by-transaction basis.
Summary, Detailed
The summary report shows your accounting entries summarized by batch. The detailed report shows the full detail for each transaction in the batch.
Date range
A date range, within the current period, may be specified so that the report will only include the accounting detail for dates within that range.
You can also select either the publications or companies to be reported on by entering the publication or company codes in the filter. You can also obtain a report on individual accounts (right click once to select from a list of account codes). This is useful if you are trying to investigate why your earned income, say, is so large this month.
This report only shows you data for the current period. When you close a period (or year), QuickFill purges the accounting detail. Therefore, the accounting detail for prior periods is not available.
