This report allows you to generate renewal notices for subscribers with gift or group subscriptions even if they are not due for renewal. You might, for example, use this to send a special renewal offer at Christmas time or before a price increase.
The 'Gift blanket renewals' report will generate detailed renewal notices that list the ship-to customers who belong to a gift or group subscription. It will also generate a 'Gift blanket renewal summary' report that displays the total number of renewal notices created, the name of the file in which they are located, and the filter screen. If you want to create renewal notices that do not list the ship-to customers, use the Standard Blanket Renewals Report instead.
The filter for the 'Gift blanket renewals' report has seven tabs. Tabs three through seven are same as tabs three through seven of the 'Promotional labels' report. You can move easily between tabs by using the Ctrl-RightArrow and Ctrl-LeftArrow key combinations or your mouse.
Date to be printed on the notices
Enter the date that you would like to be printed on the renewal notices.
Create notices for this publication
Enter the publication for which you would like to produce notices.
Renewal effort
Enter the renewal effort that you want QuickFill to use to generate the notices. The effort controls the offers that will appear on the notices.
Note: gift blanket renewals
The renewal effort specified for gift blanket renewals must be linked to a renewal package with a printed notice format of "Detailed (for gifts and groups)"
Message 1, Message 2
Right click once in these fields to select the messages you want to print on the notices. At least one of your messages should contain instructions for making changes to the ship-to addresses or adding ship-tos as well as instructions to send the entire form back.
Document descriptors
Enter the words that you would like to appear on the top and bottom of each notice. The words "Gift renewal" default into these fields. To enter your own words, type over the existing entries.
Single subscriptions
Use these radio buttons to specify whether or not you want to include single subscriptions. All notices created by the 'Gift blanket renewals' report, including those for single subscriptions, will be in the detailed format.
Include expiration date of current subscription
Clear this field if you do not want subscribers' expiration dates to be printed on the blanket renewals. Otherwise, leave this field as it is and QuickFill will print the expiration date of the current subscription for subscribers selected to receive a renewal.
