QuickFill allows you to add, edit, or delete comments from a customer's subscription history.

Add comment

Use 'Add comment' to type in any additional information you want on file about a customer. This space is really the equivalent of a "Post-It"TM note that you can tack on to the subscription history. (The ability to add comments to a customer's subscription history also exists on most of the transaction screens.)

Say, for example, that a customer calls to tell you that he or she is sending another check to replace the one that went astray in the mail. You may want to note in the customer's subscription history that you expect payment shortly. Since you already looked up the customer at the beginning of the call (click here for details on the lookup procedure.), simply select 'Add comment' from the 'Transactions' menu to add this information.

To add a comment to a customer's subscription history, go to the "Subscription and prospect records," "Subscription history and orders," or "Detailed order display" lookup screen and do the following: use the shortcuts below or select the 'Comments', 'Add comment' from the 'Transactions' menu. You will see a box with the heading "Add Comment." Type in a comment and click on "OK" to add it to the customer's subscription history.

Edit comment

To edit a comment, go to the "Subscription history and orders" lookup screen and do the following: double click on the comment, right click on it and select "Edit comment," or click on it once to highlight it and select 'Comments', 'Edit comment' from the 'Transactions' menu.

You'll see a box with the heading "Edit Comment" and the text of the existing comment. Make your changes and click on "OK" to save them. QuickFill records your changes immediately.

Delete comment

To delete a comment, go to the "Subscription history and orders" lookup screen and do the following: right click on the comment and select "Delete comment," or click on it once to highlight it and select 'Comments', 'Delete comment' from the 'Transactions' menu. QuickFill deletes the comment immediately.

Since the 'Comment' transactions are not batched transactions, they are recorded in the miscellaneous batch. Click here for details on the miscellaneous batch.
