When you enter a requalification, QuickFill displays the customer address, qualification data (if you have the QuickFill Audit System), and source forms so that you can make any necessary changes and enter the requalification. (Click here for an overview of requalification.)
Customer address and qualification data form
These forms display the customer's name and address information and their qualification data respectively. To make changes to the customer's address, click on "Change Address." Any changes take effect immediately. (Click here for details on the 'Address change' transaction.) To see the qualification data from a subscriber's prior order, click on the "Get Prior Qual Data" button on the 'Qualification' tab. When you have completed the customer address and qualification data forms, click on the "Source" tab to move to the source form.
This screen contains the publication code and prior order number to the right and the fields you should fill in to complete the requalification to the left.
Requal source
If you didn't enter a requalification source code on the batch header, enter one here. You can type in the correct code, or right click to select from a list of requalification source codes.
Channel
Enter the channel code associated with this requalification, or right click to select the appropriate code from a list of defined channels.
Quantity
QuickFill prefills this field with the number of copies the customer received with his or her previous order. If the customer now wants to change the number of copies, just enter a different number.
Shipping class
QuickFill automatically enters in this field the shipping-class code from the previous order. If you want to change shipping methods, type the new shipping code into this field, or right click once to select from a list of shipping codes.
Service
QuickFill automatically enters in this field the service code from the previous order. If there was not a service code on the previous order and you would like to add one now, or if you would like to change the existing code, right click to select from a list of defined codes. You may also type the code directly into the field.
Request type
If you didn't enter a request type on the batch header, this field defaults to "Personal direct written." Right click to select a different request type for this subscription from a list of request types. (Click here for a list of request types.)
Classification
If you didn't enter a subscription classification on the batch header, this field defaults to "Nonpaid single." Right click to select a different classification from a list of subscription classifications. The only classifications permitted for controlled subscriptions are "Nonpaid single" and "Nonpaid bulk." (Click here for a list of subscription classifications.)
Expire issue
QuickFill prefills this field with the 'Controlled expire' issue from the issue table. If you want the subscription to expire with some other issue, then enter the issue number. You may enter the issue number directly, or right click in the field to display a list of issues from which to select.
External order ID
This is an optional field. You might use this to store the order number from a subscription agency, thus tying together all of the individual orders in QuickFill that were received as a single order from the agency.
Comment
You may enter a comment in this field if there is any additional information related to the customer or the transaction that you would like to include.
When you finish filling out the form, click on "OK." QuickFill returns you to the batch header form and shows you a summary of the transaction you've just entered on a line on the bottom half of the screen. (You'll see the customer name, their company or city and state, and their zip code.) If the batch is balanced it will ask you if you want to post it.
